Galaxy or Galaxie?
Either way, 11 mpg isnt that bad considering it’s moving a battleship.

It’s an air craft carrier, not battle ship. A Piper could land on the roof.

It’s “ie”, I think because it could be trademarked that way. It used to be the case that common nouns couldn’t be trademarked, which is why the Fl(e)xible bus and conversions company trademarked their name without an e. Flxible.

Sweet ride - says it seats 8 but I call bullshit. 10 people easy, probably 12 in a pinch.
No wood grain on this stripper though-

When I was 14 my parents bought a brown 1968 Buick Electra 225 in about the same condition as that Galaxy. I think they paid $400. We drove the car to the ground, left it for dead and then a local guy bought it and dropped the 430 ci V8 into his truck. Sorry I just started rambling.... I think the Galaxy is worth $1,000 tops, they are really shitty cars other than being rare now days.

Of course, with Ford, that’s less “pepperidge farms remembers” and more “okay, but seriously, which fucking years were more trim lines and which years were more models, and which years did trim lines get stolen for unrelated models?”. Customline, Crestline, Crestline Victoria, FAIRLANE!!, Fairlane Galaxie, Galaxie and/or “Custom 300", Fairlane-that’s-smaller-than-Galaxie, LTD...

My ‘63 Galaxie 500 is a foot shorter, but that’s almost all in the bumpers. Same width, almost identical wheelbase. I get better mileage than that, but mine’s a 289 and weighs more than 500lb less.

I remember working on these, the Idler arm would pull right out of the frame!

Only one glaring flaw: Where’s the front bench? If it’s only got 56k miles, why would they have thrown it out? Methinks 156k.
